Every member of the Rome Team brings something special to our company. Behind each member, there is a passion for the equipment manufacturing industry that makes Rome Grinding Solutions so unique.
We find that it is important for our customers and colleagues to know the people that make up Team Rome. Today, we introduce you to Ryan Van Maasdam, who has been with Rome for 15 years and currently sits as the Vice President of Sales and Business Development. We asked a few questions to help you learn about Ryan and his history with Rome.
Question:How did you start working for Rome Grinding Solutions?
Answer: I was a fresh graduate of college and didn’t have a plan. By pure luck I ran into Mike and Bonnie Weaver (the owners of Rome), and the rest is history.
Question:What do you like best about working for Rome?
Answer:I love that we are a family-owned company that has the same capabilities as any of the large equipment manufacturers. I think it gives the Rome Team the ability to offer a whole different level of service, which is very unique to the industry.
Question:What was your favorite project that you have worked on?
Answer:My first complete grind line! It was for a great customer that I still work with in beef processing.
Question:What is the most valuable thing that you can provide your clients?
Answer:Since we are a small company built on customer service, we are very accessible. We do not have the corporate perils for customers to try to navigate; we are always fast, nimble and responsive.
I often get calls from customers that reach out to big companies that cannot get anyone out there to help them. It is always a good opportunity for Rome because between our staff and inventory, we can take care of them right away. The whole team at Rome likes to be able to walk into a place knowing that we have helped to ease customer frustrations.
