Meet the Rome Team: Part 3 | Rome Grinding Solutions

Every member of the Rome Team brings something special to our company. Behind each member,  there is a passion for the equipment manufacturing industry that makes Rome Grinding Solutions so unique. 

 

We find that it is important for our customers and colleagues to know some of the people that make up Team Rome, especially those that you will see in the plants. Today, we introduce you to Brandon Winkel, who has been with Rome for 2 years and has recently transitioned into the role of Regional Sales Specialist. 

Question: How did you start working for Rome Grinding Solutions?

Answer: I came across an employment ad on Rome's Facebook page. I worked with Sales Specialist Derek Kamstra, who I knew prior, and he pointed me in the right direction. Shortly after that, I was an employee of Rome Grinding Solutions! Growing up with president Kate Rome's daughter, I had a general idea of what Rome did and what they were about. I can very much say it was the best decision I have made thus far in my life.

Question: What do you like best about working for Rome?

Answer: There are multiple parts of my job that I enjoy, so it is hard to state just one "best thing". There is never any day like the other. I partake in a lot of things here at Rome, and it definitely keeps me on my toes. I very much enjoy talking and getting to know customers over the phone and email. I am now beginning to travel a bit more and it is very cool getting to put a face to the name of the people I have emailed / talked to on the phone in the past. I enjoy everyone I work with and can most definitely say Rome is a very fun environment to work in.

Question: What was your favorite project that you have worked on?

Answer:  I do not have one favorite project that stands out, but one of my favorite things about my job would be helping customers when they are "down" or in desperate need of parts. It is a great feeling when we rush to get parts to a customer and speak with them after the fact and they state we "Saved the day." There is always a way here at Rome, our team will go far and wide to keep our customers up and running smoothly.

Question: What is the most valuable thing that you can provide your clients?

Answer: Going back to my previous answer, when in doubt, please reach out. Here at Rome, we have the upper hand on other larger companies as we have complete control over our inventory. Our team will go the extra mile to help every customer of ours out. If you are in need of a part or whatever it may be, please don't ever hesitate to call.
